I was driving my truck and when I would park it the truck would roll. I hit the emergency break came here saw about the 2 screws I tighten them and I’m good but it keeps happening so I get the blue loctite. Truck is good it parks no roll yay. I drive to work and it won’t fully park heard a weird noise and felt it in the pedal ok emergency break I’ll figure it out later. Get her home and the screw is on the floor I go to fix that and see a metal piece there as well. So the shift gear column tube is broken I buy a new one watch a video shot by shot take the dash and everything off carefully and slowly then put the new item in place put back together and NOTHING well it wouldnt shift into park. I take it apart do all over finally got it back to place and it’s making a ticking noise and killls or drains my battery. I have tried to jump and can’t jump it also it still won’t go to park or first gear I need park. I have opened and put everything back together way to many times. The new piece has a little break by the hole is that stopping it from working? Am I missing something else. It is NOT the 2 screws I have tried them again. I chased the shifter cable and it hooks fine on the inside no kinks or pulls that I can see under the truck I can’t tell and don’t want to touch that part if I don’t have too. Before this it was a little sloppy nothing crazy. Apparently my mechanic is not familiar with this I thought I wasn’t gonna need him but now it’s 2 weeks later and I still can’t figure it and neither can he. What am I missing
