My tailgate currently is missing the hinge piece on the passenger side. The piece on the bed is in good condition but where it connects with the gate is missing. Does anyone have a part number for a replacement and how one replaces them? I don't have a picture of it from my truck but attached is an image that is very similar to my situation.

Man idk, i checked O'Reillys website and they only have the bed side of the hinges
From what I've seen, the tailgate ones are welded and you'd have to cut them off and sand and then reweld/bolt on new ones. Interesting decision from Ford. I might just try to find a tailgate on Facebook or at a local yard for $80-100 with the hinges in good condition, less dents, and a finish panel (mine is missing).
I had to replace that part once. I used a piece of EMT (conduit) which is about the same gauge as the original I don't remember what diameter, but a bit of hacksaw or cut-off wheel work to make it match what was there, and weld it on. I don't think it took more than an hour to do.
