ring gap
Other mods to the engine are:
Weiand intake
Street demon carb
Flotech headers
Lunati Vudoo cam kit (lifters, springs, timing set, cam)
HEI distributor
Thanks for the help.
The answer is go with 0080 mulitplier on the first ring even if I am not running nitrous right now since it's in a truck that may tow a trailer once in a while.
.0040 multiplier on the second ring. There is no difference on this one nitrous or not.
Interestingly, he said you can yank to the top of a piston clean off if you don't allow enough ring gap so err on the side of caution.

A story on end gaps: A couple of years ago I rebuilt a 350 Chevy engine for a guy who wanted to run nitrous. I followed the instructions that came with the rings(Mahle) and put the engine together. After it was assembled I ran it on my dyno and the customer came down to help with the testing and have some fun. He noticed right away that I didn't have any breather in the valve cover yet no oil came out and he really couldn't see any significant blow by. He said, "I thought I told you to gap the rings for nitrous did you forget"? I told him I did and he was amazed at how little it leaked under load. In other words it doesn't hurt much to have a little extra end gap. That engine made 600 horsepower at 7000rpm and he ran a 200 shot most of the time.

Thanks for the info.
It backs up my decision to go bigger.
