I’m not a complete idiot when it comes to choke adjustment, I was pretty competent on my old motor craft 2150, however was a manual choke setup. However the choke on this 351W seems to be absolutely trash, and I’m starting to understand why it was pinned open.
1st off the choke valve closes off the intake of the carb entirely, making the 1st start up absolutely horrible until the choke opens up somewhat. But even then I still have issues getting it to lean up.
and 2nd, it does not appear to have any type of adjustment to allow me to change such a thing, there is a plastic peace with a slot for the housing that seems to hold it in one place. Making for a severe lack of adjusting.
now I might actually be completely incompetent to this style and there is adjustability, I was just too sleep deprived yesterday to notice it.
Any recommendations on a way to fix this?
I also almost prefer manual chokes even if this were to work properly
Also** I am aware of left and right turning to adjust length that the choke is on etc etc. But like I said without swapping to a manual housing, is there a fix for this?
