Hello guys I’m back and I’m doing a simple shock change. Iv put a two inch lift pucks under my coils in the front to level it out. I went a head and bought the bilstien 5100. They are a 4” in lift in the front and 2 in lift in the back. I’m wanting to know how level my truck is going to sit after I put them on. I know shocks are not enough to lift a truck alone so I’m hoping my front isn’t taller than back. I kinda thought I just loose a little shock travel before my truck sat nose high. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks

another observation is that my shocks haven’t been changed in about ten years. They are completely dead. You can play with em like a slinky. So if my original shocks are supposed to lift the truck even a little, they are not and my truck sits pretty level. It’s a rough ride tho.
Unless the shocks are of a design that has a spring incorporated into them (A coil spring Mounted on them, a coil-over, or an Air fitting to charge an "air spring" inside of them) they aren't going to affect the ride height of your truck at all. Well, unless you jam a shock that's compressed length is longer than the ride height of your truck in there, making it a solid suspension.
Are you saying the shocks you bought are for a 4 inch lift? If so you are better off with stock shocks for a leveling kit. The 4 inch lift shocks will be too long.
