FORDPASS APP NOT WORKING!

Hello guys, any suggestions would be helpful. My wife and I bought a brand new 2019 Ford F150 last year and the Ford Pass app will not work for remote start or lock/unlock. I have installed and uninstalled several times to no avail. Call customer service? Yeah, that's a joke. On hold for hours, like nobody wants to help a customer. The app does not even show the key when I open it up for remote start. Just gives me glovebox, dealer, warranty info, and journeys. Ready to tell Ford what I really think of this app. My salesman told me that Remote Start should work just fine.

Your salesman sucks.
He should have set it up and made sure it works before you left.

What truck do you have?
When I bought my truck, I got it free for 5yrs.
Has your subscription expired?

Could it be the truck is not registered with Ford?

Does the app show your truck's location, mileage and oil life statistics? If not, then the truck's built in cellular modem is not communicating with Ford's servers. If those items do show up and are accurate, then it would appear you have a warranty issue.

Well, since you purchased a " Brand New" 2019 F150 last year and if you haven't exceeded the 36K part of the bumper to bumper warranty, you should just take your F150 into the Ford dealer of your choice and let them figure it out or repair it.

What trim do you have? Certain trims(I think only XL, but not 100% sure) only have FordPass, and not FordPass Connect, which is what gives you the remote start and lock/unlock

My FordPass remote start/lock/unlock functions quite working after about 2 months and have been unable to reconnect. After 2 hours in a cold garage trying to follow the owners manual I decided I didn't need it.

Take your truck back to the dealer bypass your salesman and talk to the sales manager. He will get you set up with the right person and get it working. That's if you have fordpass. Most salesmen have no clue how things work on these trucks.

Go back to the dealer. I had a lot of trouble getting mine to work. They fought it until they figured it out. They thought first there was a bad modem in the truck, there was some procedure they finally found that made it work. The tech said she spent hours on the phone with Ford working through a lot of things. All under warranty.

You just have Ford Pass Not Ford Pass Connect. I have a 2018 Lariat that has the connect and all the lock, unlock and start functions work. My wife has a 2018 SEL Edge, which only has Ford Pass, No Start, Lock or Unlock is available. Like yours it goes straight to Glove Box.

As if by magic my FordPass started working again. The only difference is the the icons for start/unlock/lock are now mid screen instead of the top. Perhaps the cussing I gave it using my 21 year Navy vocabulary was the motivating factor.
