Broken cpu bolt

Thank you for clarity of what i am dealing with, looks like may have to go to ford for bolt, looks like a special part not just a plain bolt, also wondering how to get harness out, hopefully it unplugs from grey connector and can disassemble like picture

Do NOT remove the wires from the connector shell. Putting just one pin back in the wrong place could fry your PCM. To get the connector (and the rest of the harness for that matter) to a workbench, simply unplug the other end of the harness.

Was not going to remove any individual wires, was hoping the harness could be removed as plug and play section, looking at pics provided the bolt looks like a special item, dont want to use the four letter word F---, but may have to go there for some parts

I think a good machine shop should be able to turn a regular bolt down for you for cheap.

Along those lines...you could make your own out of a piece of rod from ACE and the proper threading die. Thread both ends of the rod and loctite a nut on the top end or use two nuts and jam them..

Drilled out pcm bolt, disassembled harness was lucky came apart in its own piece, back on road, ordered new chip to perk up old dog
