People seldom change and this girl would have continued to drive you nuts only probably not in a good way. I met my first wife in the bar and that is where I lost her 6 years later.
I believe in loyalty and I never liked dating girls that were messing around with other guys, it just says something about their values in general and how much ( or little ) respect they have for you and your relationship.

The other thing is, don't linger around thinking you'll get a little on the side while your looking for your steady. Young girls that sleep around have a habit of getting knocked up, you don't want to wonder for nine months if your a new daddy, then find out you are. For all the talk about the "pill" and sex ed both illegitimate births and abortions are at all time highs.

Be glad it happened now, and not after you two got married. Be polite to her, just tell her you don't think things will work out and part as friends. Things work out for a reason and I bet the girl your intended to be with will be the next one you meet.
