help here with speed

I have a 91 ranger xlt with a 3.0 5 speed and i was wondering does any one know about any cheap, quick ways to gain horsepower and exceleration.

I was also just wondering, who thinks i can beat a 98 dakota sport with a 3.9 (i think) in a quarter mile??

"You can't get 500hp for $500" "How much money yah got?" I think you've got all the answers you'll get. If you really want power it's either going to take money or time. Probably both. Do a search for "air box mod" Ohter than that your talking at least $300 with pretty small gains still. BTW, race it on a track!

hammy's right. Intake, exhaust, chip, cams, nitrous, and rear gears are probably the cheapest HP gains, and your'e looking at a couple hundred each basically.
