There are several NOS 1A 7006 trans cases on ebay right now where the listing states they are for 49-54 Ford cars. My 1955 service parts catalog says it's for 53-54 w/overdrive.

I've taken the information that 38 coupe and 52 Merc gave me and did a internet search. I also got a better picture of the trans side shift assembly and cover (included picture). By the looks of it I do have a Ford 3 speed trans, specifically a Ford 259 trans as seen by this ebay ad. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1951-1955-F...-/352760422766
All the numbers are exactly the same as well as the trans body/shift plate etc. I found additional information on some other forums making reference that it's a Borg Warner 259. Either way I believe I found a match or the closest match out there. Again, I just want to say "thank you" to all that replied.
