Question Windshield Leak - Cowl Drains?

Picked up a 2002 F250 5.4 and discovered lots of water on both driver and passenger floor areas, including inside my fuse box.... The inside of my windshield had tons of condensation. In the misc of diagnosing this water leak, I know it could possible be my windshield seal. Where are the cowl drains; I took off my cowl and cannot find them? I read the forums and will inspect the seal between the hood and the cowl as well. Might even check the plastic tabs directly above the blower motor as there are supposed to be grommets around them. Any input would be much appreciated. Right now I have a heater in my cab drying out the cab.

No such thing. When you have the windshield out to be resealed....you'll see.

Dan is correct. Pull the windshield and prepare yourself for some bodywork. That's the only way you're going to stop the water intrusion.

The drains are huge holes in the fender rails at the part where the cowl ends, left and right side, you should remove fender, cowl and check those, clean them with pressure washer, mine were a bit bad, cleaned and the truck feels like new
or... you should remove cowl, windshield and do extra job, first just clean the drains

Been busy installing my Boss plow undercarriage kit and wiring harness lol. Since this post, I've had a tarp over the windshield to prevent water from coming in. My buddy is coming by next week to re-seal my windshield. Fingers crossed my problem will disappear. Will keep you all posted.

Update: After a few storms, no more leaks. Water was entering through the factory cab lights. I applied some clear silicone around the bolt holes and between the plastic cab light covers and rubber seal.

Went through this with my truck as well. Glad you got it fixed before you burned out your pcm. That’s what happened in my truck. Keep an eye on it. I put a plastic bag over the new pcm to try and midi gate any future leakage which hopefully doesn’t happen. Hopefully the new windshield holds for a while.
