Hello everyone I'm in need of some HELP. I have a 2002 F-350 4X4 dually crewcab 7.3L. my question is having problem with rear brake calipers locking up. I have changed out the calipers, hoses and rotors multi times. I've have used drilled and slotted rotors and pads from Powerstops, I have used AutoZone pads and rotors. But within just a few months I'll have one of the rear Calipers start to lock up normally the Left rear. Has anyone had this problem and if so have you figured it out and fixed it. Thank you Don

Don,
I would recommend that you change the rubber Brake Line hoses. These trucks are 20 years old, the rubber in those hoses has degraded and a 'flapping' effect is happening. When you apply the brake and fluid pressure happens, when you let the brake pedal off, the rubber flapping effect will keep pressure on the brake. Change out all of your rubber brake lines. (Yes, I have had this problem and this seems to have fixed it)
The hose is not "usually" the problem, but can be. Recently I had a left front brake that would seize up, but only under certain conditions. I narrowed it down to only when the 5th wheel was on the back and I was braking lightly. I performed a service on the brakes and everything appeared to be OK, then it did it again. I replaced the rotors, pads, calipers, hoses and full fluid flush using a Motive Power Bleeder.
Good as new.
You said "rear brake calipers locking up". Did you mean to say both of the rear calipers or just one? If both of the calipers are locking up, you may have a different issue than if only one is locking up. Do they release after they are cooled or do they stay seized?
Check very closely for leaks, even though the hardware is new. Sometimes those hose fittings are a bear and sometimes new parts are faulty.
