I don't know how hold the column is but they should have parts to fix.
took your advice and took column apart to see if I can see anything .can anyone help me with the wiring coming out of my column.all the wiring diagrams I have show 2 blue wires but I only have 1.
I don't think you've ever expounded on exactly what doesn't work in the column signal switch, but the only way to test it is either with power and a test light to check the circuits, or an ohm meter to check continuity through the various circuits. I just went through this with my DD pickup, verified the issue and replaced the switch with a new one.
What make is the steering column? This is Ididit's wiring code:
White- Brake feed
Green- Right rear turn and brake
Yellow- Left rear turn and brake
Purple- Turn signal feed
Brown- 4 way feed
Dark Blue- Right front turn and indicator
Light Blue- Left front turn and indicator
Black- Ground for horn relay
Depends on the make of the column, as in the cheaper offshore columns sometimes use whatever wire they have in bulk. Looks like you have a grey wire between the Dark Blue and Black one. That is probably your LF turn and indicator wire instead of Light Blue. Just a guess.
I got the column from CPP I do believe it was the classic fit one.i originally wired the column up and tried finding the problem but couldn't so just ordered a universal turn signal .now I have the column ripped opened and will try and diagnose it.
