Hello everybody, I am kinda new to the world of Ford pickups. I have a 1994 Ford F150 2wd with a 5.0 and the Mazda M50D-R2 transmission. I was wondering what I could do to get a little more horsepower and torque out of this engine. I'm thinking about getting a cam, heads, and a set of headers. How much of an increase would this give me?

So definitely not trying to be rude, as there were plenty of people who helped me when I asked the same question. With the 302, you can increase hp and tq but pretty much everything will raise the powerband. It’s just the downside of the 302. That being said, GT40 heads, Comp 35-512-8 cam. Now I’ve never messed with the EFI intakes so I’m not sure what the options really are. If you want a little more lift, use 1.7rr’s with that cam, it’ll keep the duration low and lift higher which is the recipe for low end power. The 1.7s with that cam will pretty much max out what stock GT40s will flow. You can also add some headers if you’re feeling frisky. Since your truck Is EFI, it’ll definitely have to be tuned for all this. That combo, I believe, will outflow both the stock MAF setup and the 19lb injectors. I believe the stock injectors are only good to 270-280hp without maxing it the duty cycle. Calling @Conanski to correct anywhere I messed up.
Cam in it now is a step below the 5.0 HO cam on the intake side. 1.7 rockers will bump the lift on both intake and exhaust .030. I think your 94 should already have a mass air EFI system, but make sure before doing anything first. Replacing the airfliter with a K&N will help as will removing the silencer from the airfilter box too. If you're going to replace the heads, you can net some power from the stock E7 heads by taking a porting bit and removing the Thermactor bumps from the exhaust port roofs. This takes all of 30 minutes to do once the heads are off. More can be had by opening the port walls and raising the port roofs to match a header gasket then bowl blending the ports down into the bowls under the exhaust valves.
The cheapest horsepower you can bolt on is a set of GT40 heads from a ford explorer. There are two different types though, the GT40 and GT40P. The P heads flow better and make a little more power, but the spark plug is at a different angle and requires a special header. They're worth about 20-30hp https://lmr.com/products/what-are-gt40-heads-mustang
