Did you check your fuse box to see if there is an empty space where a power window circuit breaker or fuse was supposed to go?

Here is the 2004 wiring diagram. it looks like tapping into the power side of fuse 42 or 601 would be the correct place to get power. It would be a bonus if the output pin of 601 is installed and you could just tap into that LB/BK #400 wire, install the 30-amp fuse and your power would be all set. You also might want to look inside the door to see if that LB/BK power wire is already there. Sometimes the same wiring harness were used so the dealer can add on the accessories in their shop.

The relay in question isn't there. Can I add two relays to each door and direct wire to battery?

You can direct wire to the battery (using an inline fuse I hope.) I'm not sure what these relays you mentioned would be for?

It may have been a mistake. I got a deal on two 05 doors with the power options. I haven't yet investigated my 04 stx, but do know the accessories relay isn't in the panel. Whether or not the socket is wired is not known. I watched an lmc video where they used two relays in each door and took power directly from battery. This makes the power to the window keyed I think and also makes movement of windows faster.

That's what I did when I installed power windows and locks in the '04 STX I had.

Okay but are the terminals there to be able to install one?

yes the socket for the relay is there. I don't know if the socket is wired. I have been busy with the covid and don't know what wiring is present in the stx doors yet. I have the connector for xlt driver door but the connector on passenger was cut.

This is a lot of work

Ok, I now feel much better and have more insight on the 04 stx/xlt door panel swap. The xlt doors came with harnesses cut. I have used wiring diagrams to to ascertain windows. The stx has no wiring except speaker and door ajar? I think I have the power mirrors worked out. I haven't even considered button illumination/ not necessary. Power locks? Those have me pretty confused and I'm ready to just skip these entirely. My issue is with where will power come from for these circuits. In the fuse panel, the circuit breaker is not installed. I probed it and it didn't appear to be wired. Right now the plan is to investigate panel a little more but it's looking like direct to battery thru a fuse is getting consideration.
