Looking for information on a rebuilt 1994 e4od in my 96 bronco. I do know the 94 is somewhat inferior to a 96 but the 94 was rebuilt with heavy duty parts. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have read that the solenoid pack design and it’s connector was changed in either ‘95 or ‘96. Was that also changed?

I think the solenoid was changed or moved in 95 or 96. From what i read the 96 e4od is the best year for obs trucks. Friend of mine has a 94 e4od that he just had rebuilt with 97 internals which he does not need anymore. I do need a new trans in my 96 bronco but cost to rebuilt is big $. Finding info on whether or not a 94 would work in a 96 is difficult to find. Wiring harness is the big question.

Switching 96 harness to a 94 harness will be a direct swap or do I have to modify harness ?
