E4OD question(will it work?)

Will an E4OD out of an '93 IDI truck work in my '94 PSD truck.

IIRC the 93 is not an electronic trans the 94 is, but....I'm Not sure. The trany guru's here will give you more info.

doesn"t the "e" in e4od stand for electronic?

EVERY E4OD is electronic. That is what the "E" in E4OD means.

I think it will work. It's been a long time since I thought about those transmissions, but I can't think of any reason it won't work.

looked it up on car-part.com and it listed a bunch, but it looks like the main diff is the # of bolts on the tc.
