2000 Excursion front axle???

Hello all,
I am new here, please excuse stupid questions..lol

I have a 2000 excursion I am trying to replace right front axle shaft. I have no tag on diff and dealer couldn't help identifying axle.

I want to say its a DANA 60, but my shaft has 30 inner and outer splines.

Everything I look up says its 35 spline. Dealer part # when I google
it shows me 35 spline.....so I am lost here.

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks

It sounds like you have a Dana 50. Those had 30 splines.

All excursions have dana 50 with 30 spline axles.

try www.venturestruckparts.com if you want genuine spicer replacements or randys ring and pinion if chicom is your thing

Perfect, would you know of a good source to get a right side axle assembly?

I'd go with pirate4x4_camo's suggestions.

As mentioned previously, the OEM was a Dana 50 which is what you most likely have. If a 60 was present, you'd find a "248" embossed in the tube/webbing beside the pumpkin on the upper passenger side.

I can vouch for ventures truck parts.
great price on the parts they offer. And great customer service. I rebuilt my front end with parts from them. When I get my Dana 60 I will be using them for parts on it.

aside from their great customer service and tech advice if you call them one of the best reasons to use them is you know you are getting genuine spicer parts.

spicer is so knocked off nowadays by crappy china companies it is nearly impossible to get a genuine spicer part off ebay or amazon. ( fyi Bosch, Bilstein, TRW and many others are becoming problematic as well ) Have returned 2 sets of Bilsteins in the last year because they were knockoff junk.
