Just wanted to thank the following FTE Members for replying to my ( Rather ) long post ( post # 38 ) in replying to the Original poster regarding ( " another " purchasing a 7.3l " thread) . I'm not very good at typing or posting as I'm a more talk to you face to face type of guy. But the following people took their time out to address my post and offer assurances that my post was ok in it's context, but lacking a little on presentation. Thanks to the following: 2001F350dualwheel, colorado350, Y2KW57, SOUS, and Sunuvabug. My main reason for posting thread#38 was to try and save Cole94 from paying more than the truck was worth. But, we all know that w/o actually seeing the truck with our own eyes, we are just offering advice on his original thread regarding condition and price. What I have learned the hard way ( Seems like the only way I learn ), is that ultimately you have to be satisfied with your decision to purchase or not. My experience on older vehicles is once they become 20 years or older and they can still be driven reliably on a weekly basis, then the PO or owners must have done something right. A vehicle is only worth what someone is willing to pay. Just realize that an older vehicle will require more maintenance and may be less valuable than what you are paying for it. But most of the older vehicles I have owned were a labor of love and I didn't care the value to others. Regarding insurance, I can say that in Pennsylvania, you can get classic vehicle insurance on a 25 y/o vehicle which is way less than standard insurance. And the policies can be written so that you can drive them unlimited miles a year. So for some of us, these trucks are nearing 25 years old.

Don’t sweat it man. Piece of cake. I’ve known to write a wall of text on occasion.
