So I'm missing the other half of this plug, 71 f100, it's near the starter solenoid. I know it's a power wire but have no idea where it goes to, the original was eaten by rats. Is it available, or does anyone have it on a parts truck?
I found a post where another guy was asking about the connector labeled "m8815" like yours, and this was what he said:
"The wiring is straightened out. The yellow wire itself just needed to be put back in line with the solid black wire from the alternator. The red wire that led into the fusible link and then came out as a yellow wire went to the battery terminal on the solenoid. All wired up, harness is wrapped back up and everything is working great."
That black/yellow wire is the main power wire that goes into your cab (12v constant). The red and yellow wires both go to your ammeter (amp gauge on your cluster). Here's a wiring diagram that's helped me a ton. If you're looking for a new plug your best bet might be finding someone that's done a 3G/1wire alternator swap on their truck cutting that plug out. A lot of times to clean up the wiring on those alt swaps the black/yellow wire goes to 12v+ on the battery then the red and yellow wires get cut since the factory ammeter wont work with a high amp alternator.
