Navigation Systems

Are any of you running nav systems, and if so, what brand and how did you mount. Thanks.

I installed a NAV-SYS910DVD in my '04 f250 cc PSD. I mounted the head unit in the dash using one of the install kits with the pocket on the bottom, ran the wire for the microphone up the left pillar with the mic just over the top of it. I mounted the nav DVD unit under the center of the front seat center section (40/40/20 seat).

Haven't hooked up the speed sensor wire yet, but the nav is very good even without it (except in tunnels), and the voice recognition is VERY good. I don't use the steering wheel mounted remote (it looks goofy), since there is a spot on the touch screen to tell it you want to give it a voice command.

All in all I am very happy with the unit and the install so far. I am looking into mounting an overhead display for the rear seat, but it is a challenge with the moonroof.

It is a Pioneer NAV-SYS910DVD. It is avaialable all over the web, go to google and do a search on the part number.

I also mounted an overhead monitor for the rear seat, and yes, I have the moonroof in my F250.

Yes, it isn't too difficult with the modular connector, you just solder the wires on the new head unit to the connector, and plug it in. Worst part was taking the truck interior apart to run the wiring.
