Three years as 11-M in the Army, 1988-1991. Got to E-5, served in Desert Storm. Four more years as a reserve Drill Instructor at the rank of E-6 afterward. There's nothing like taking 26 tons airborne at 70 MPH!
My dad and 5 of his brothers were in the Army. His other brother who is my age, was a career Marine. I was enlisted (E5)in the Army (Vietnam). My son was in the Navy 11 years(pilot), and is still in the reserves.
