I love avocados Will have to try that next time I buy some.
Well, the owner of the 1992 Ranger finally sold it to me. So now I just need to get that fuel tank repaired. A neighbor friend of mine says his cousin does welding, so maybe he can fix it for me. If not, I'll see if my grandson can remove the tank and I'll take it to that radiator shop that said they repair gas tanks also. Going to go out there and clean the windows and install the official FTE Nor Cal decals on the back windows. We popped the hood, and there is like 4 years of dirt on the engine. but none of the wires have been chewed through by any rats, so that is good. Also, I was able to sit in it, and get my right foot above the gas pedal, so no need to spend the extra $100 on hand controls. The PO stated his dad rebuilt the engine in it right before he stopped driving it, so it should be fine after a tune up. The odometer says 70,023 miles, but I am sure it is 170,023 since there is no sixth digit. Anyway, I am a happy camper. Finally got the Ranger style I like, and for only $500.
Love avocado. I can't believe that people paid $28 a slice for avocado toast. Is avocado our #1 cash crop in this state? I think it was a few years ago,, when some growers in SoCal were busted taking water from municipal sources for their trees. In the stealth of early morning hours, they filled water containers from fire hydrants, then trucked it back to their farms.
. official FTE Nor Cal decals.
What's going on here? I never even got the Kewpie Doll. Now I hear that you have decals too. Come to think of it, you never "officially" let me join, either. And I got the tattoo on my lower back all for nothing.
Interesting that this water stealing happened 5 years ago. Also interesting that when in drought you can count on the city having plenty of water.
I still have 17 of the Nor Cal decals left. I will be taking a picture of two of them on the back window of the Ranger today so you can see what they look like.
Yeah right. I was going to put one or two on the scooter, but there is no good place that isn't covered by the front basket, or too low to be seen from the rear.
TGIF Nor Cal. Took some pics of the truck yesterday, but apparently I am losing my touch as every single one of them was blurry. So, I will sit on my scooter and see if that helps me hold the camera still.
First rain of the month came. Just enough to make the road wet and cause traffic. This new shutdown has people in a panic. Costco is the spot for hoarders. Buy Costco stock. Toilet paper is sold out again.
We got just tad over 1" of rain last night and this morning (so far). The rain seems to have mostly stopped, so I don't think much more until tomorrow. Can't see Butano Ridge right now, but this seems like enough rain to dampen out some of the spot fires that have been popping up over the last couple of months.
We had rain last night, but it is not raining right now. Haven't checked the weather forecast yet to see if more is on the way, or we got it all already.
Tami with her new FTE stickers. There seems to be an issue with my camera. Every picture I have taken these past few days has been blurry. Maybe the autofocus is acting up, I don't know, when the threat or rain goes away, I'll take some manual focus pics to see if that works. Don't have the money to have the camera checked out at the moment, since Tami is consuming most of it in order to get running.
Good reads the last two pages guys, Jim do you have any FTE stickers left ?, I’ve seem to loose my other sticker on the old diesel that went far far away from me
We got just tad over 1" of rain last night and this morning (so far).
Thanks Glue Guy. I appreciate it when you post information like that. I don't have a rain gauge. And even though I'm in San Francisco, and the amounts are sure to be different, it can't be that far off.
I found London Broil on sale at the local Safeway. So whatever goes on sale, that's what I end up buying. Cost is the reason I buy ground turkey and ground pork, instead of ground beef. Luckily, I really like some of the lower cost cuts of beef. I usually grill the London Broil. Sear it to get the grill marks, about 5 minutes a side, then let it rest. Very lean cut. I treat it like a giant steak. Then thin slice it. Great with grilled eggplant.
