Hey Guys, I'm in the process of a frame off restoration / build on my 1977 highboy. The truck came with a 400-2v and years ago a 460 was swapped in. I know that it is not the original type of engine but I'm keeping with the 460 and trying to make it look original. My problem is the engine perches. They cut a lot of the original perches away with a torch and then stick welded pieces of plate to the frame to make ones. I purchased some good used engine perches locally and had that and the frame blasted and powder coated. After some investigating it appears these perches were used on full size Broncos? Me not thinking, I cut the old junk perches off and threw them in the garbage. So I can't compare anything. I just purchased the L & L engine mounts. My question is. Has anyone used this style of perch with a 460? Will these work? Will the engine sit higher or lower? Or is the keyhole not in the right spot front to back? Sorry for all the questions but I was trying to avoid purchasing another set of engine perches and then blasting and powder coating again. Thank you, Brian
