Frame Has Been Hacked On. Problem?

The '79 F250 4X4 frame I'm moving my '74 body onto has been cut on the right side to make room for headers. It doesn't look too bad to me, but I'd like advice if I need to patch it. More worrying is the notch cut out on the right motor mount. Again I don't see any stress cracks but I'm going from a 351M to a 460, almost 200lbs more weight.

Thanks,

LJ

All look pretty minor to me. I wouldn't worry about either. Engine mount notch is irrelevant. If the frame notch bothers you that bad you can always cut out the bad part and weld in a patch strip. 3/16" thick.

That's definitely not the first truck I've seen like that! Other than being ugly I've not known anything to really be wrong with it.

Not a big deal.. clean up the cut, prime, and apply a top coat.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll just clean up the ugly chop cuts and call it good.
