Question Injector Timing

Hello all! I have been using this site for a few months now and have found you all to be a great help in solving a couple of problems that I have had with my 04 6.0. However, I haven't been able to find any information regarding Injector Timing. I have been using the Torque App on my phone to monitor the different pids for this engine. The pid in question is the INJTOP which I believe is Injector timing?? when driving it reads between 0 and around +5. when coming to a stop (idling) the gage runs up to over a thousand then back to normal when i start driving again. this happens every time. I see no changes in the other pids or feel of the engine. Could this just be a Torque App glitch or could there be an Issue that I'm not seeing? I appreciate your thoughts.

I'll look at my torque and see the pid your talking about? Your injectors are fired by your Ficm and it takes its info from your Ipc and regulates it with the ipr Not sure if that pid your looking at is for the 6.0.
Gassers are different.

Thought. Is the pid highlighted in green when you selected it?

Yes, it is one of the Green Pids. Thanks for checking.

I still haven't come up with an answer for this. Does anyone have an Idea of why the timing would read this high? Also, on occasion when I slow to an Idle (only when at normal running temp) the engine runs rough and I get a P0275 contribution code. Again the only parameter that is out of whack seems to be the InjTop. I doubt that has anything to do with it but I'm throwing it out there for comment.

I'll fire mine up tomorrow and add pid to my screen and see what it reads.
Does it effect the operation or running of motor, or something you just spotted and wonder why?

It doesn't seem to effect it at all but it does start doing that when the engine starts to worm up. I believe the #5 contribution issue is not related but won't bet my life on it.

O.k. here's what my truck reads.
1023. 1° at idle
3.2° around 1200 rpms
6.8° at 2000rpm
The 1023.1° at idle has me a little stumped to. But as soon as I hit throttle it goes to single digits. Maybe someone else has insight as to why its like that. Now I have not used Forscan on it yet, but will. I used Torque Pro.

I'm guessing that it is some kind of glitch with Torque since we have basically the same numbers.

I still want to see what Forscan says. Just curious.
I'll do it in the morning and post.

First pic is Forscan at idle(643 rpm's)
Second is Forscan at 2000 rpm's
Third is Torque Pro at 2000 rpm's
Fourth is Torque Pro readings that I monitor daily (at idle)
as you can see there are big differences in readings between the 2 apps. I still got the 1023 at idle on Torque, but Forscan only 3.4, So not sure what to think about monitoring this pid. I trust Forscan on things like this more than Torque. The reason I use Torque for monitoring my daily drive, is optics. Easier to read on Torque. Hope this info helps you somehow.
Merry Christmas!!!
