After swapping cams in my truck my injector timing is off. i found this out by having my truck datalogged. My question is that since I know the timing that is supposed to be in there do I just put that into all the areas of the injector timing of my chip? Since the original prograaming of the trucks ECU all the injector timing numbers are identical from idle right through to full throttle. So I'm assuming that's the way i should put in the new numbers. Am I correct?
I don't know the answer to your question but it is an interesting point.
There have been test done over the years on power vs injector timing and while there are small differences in power, it was found not to be a big change.
Years ago the trucks used batch injection. This means 4 injectors were fired at the same time not following the intake valve opening very close at all but is still worked fine.
Usually sequence injection is timed to fire just as the intake valve is opening so the airflow carries the fuel into the cylinder and not to early so liguid is at the valve head waiting nor trying to get fuel in after the valve is to far open.
