FX-4X4 steering
I bought a 2004 6.0 Lariat FX-4X4 new and drove it 185K without any real issue. Over the 10 years I drove it I put maybe $5K into it. I know, I drove a Unicorn. I have since moved on but a question has been nagging me. That truck was the first FX package I had ever driven. The steering was extremely stiff compared to what I had driven before. Can someone explain why? Was it just extra steering dampeners? Was it he design? Could it have been modified to steer more like a conventional truck? Thanks. Oh, My mechanic at the time said I could put $8K into the heads and injectors or save it and put it down on another truck. I got another truck.
