So a couple days ago the video started happening on my 2003 X 4x4 6.8L. No trace of water from windshield leak at fuse box or anywhere I can see. I can remove accessory delay relay 306 and nothing in the video happens and all seems to work normal even the 10 minute delay for everything g to turn off.
Turn key off and all interior lights, dash lights start blinking rapidly and the door locks unlock/lock rapidly until I either open driver door, passenger door, or turn key back on with access. Delay relay 306 in. None of this happens with relay out.
So a couple days ago the video started happening on my 2003 X 6.8L. Cruise stopped working. Did the program test and shows 3 blinks at end saying cruise deactivation switch or circuit. Changed switch no joy. The 2 wires showing open with or without brake pedal mashed. Have brakes and 3 brake lights. All buttons on steering wheel work except radio (aftermarket) and they light up with interior lights. Not sure if it’s all related to video. No trace of water from windshield leak at fuse box or anywhere I can see. I can remove accessory delay relay 306 and nothing in the video happens and all seems to work normal except cruise still doesn’t work which in turn makes me think it isn’t related.
well I have a video just can’t get it to upload, but turn key off and all interior lights, dash lights start blinking rapidly and the door locks unlock/lock rapidly until I either open driver door, passenger door, or turn key back on with access. Delay relay 306 in. None of this happens and acts normal with relay pulled.

100% chance your fuse box has water in it. It can come from many places around the windshield or through the harness.
I had the same sort of insanity.
You’ll need to take it out, carefully disassemble it, clean it, dry it, and seal it. I used dielectric grease where I could. Once you get the water and corrosion out, you’ll find that this sort of craziness disappears.

I already pulled it out. It looks brand new. No trace of water intrusion anywhere in the dash. Pulled radio and instrument panel out and everything is nice and clean. Went back with dielectric grease on everything. Of course only schematics I have are in the back of a Chilton’s Manual.
My interior lights failed to come on in my ‘04 X a while back. Open any door or rear hatch and nothing. There are two small relays soldered to the instrument cluster circuit board. I believe these are the timers to operate the 306 relay. I replaced them and problem solved. I autopsied the old ones and found the contacts pitted and or burnt. These are mechanical devices and every time they cycle, there life cycle reliability degrades. Get the part number off the relay and do a Amazon/EBay search and you will find them.
