I'm wondering if anyone has a 3d model file of the quick disconnect tool needed to remove the heater core hoses.
I can't find one anywhere online, but it seems so simple. I've even found quick disconnect tool organizers to 3d print, but no tool!
I think something like this is what I'm looking for?
Absolutely go this ^^ route----pissing around with a 3D printed tool when the commercially available versions are to be found everywhere doesn't make a lot of sense.
Do know though the heater line quick connects have slightly different and better suited tools than the fuel lines----in my experience anyway, YMMV.
Yes! I bought a couple "specialty" ones for those one off requirements. This particular kit which I bought has the different styles of DC tools and that as you also must know is the real key aside from having the correct size !

What I've learned over time is the heater hose Quick Connect removal "secret" is knowing or understanding the hose-attached portion pulls free from the tube leaving the locking tab portion still on the tube.
Honestly I've removed heater hoses using a pair of pliers but only after learning how they lock into place. Of course along the way learning all this I ruined a few of the locking tabs---good thing they're so readily available in most parts outlets.
