Tool Help

I have a thread running in No Heat however, I would like some help with a tool.

I purchased this tool for removing the heater hoses from the firewall. It did not come with instructions and even though it is recommended, I cannot figure out how to use.

Here is the link to the tool:

NAPA AUTO PARTS

Could someone please explain to me how it is used.

I have a general idea but I don't know whether it goes in the slot sides of the quick disconnect or the solid sides.

Please help, I am desparate at this point.

Thanks

First connect one of the correct size adapters to the tool handle. Then while pushing the heater hose in towards the core, use the tool to pull back the release collar on the heater hose fitting. While holding the collar back, pull the hose off the core.

The fitting works similar to an air tool hose connector, if you've ever had the chance to use one.
