headlight problem

when driving for usually about 30 min...my headlight will begin to go off ..on..off..on...then i will click my brights and it will stop...but my regular running lights are what come on...then i can click my high beams and they will come on..that seams to solve the problem for a short time ...any suggestions?

Bad circuit breaker in the headlight switch, -Replace the headlight switch.

It could be the dimmer switch.

where can i get a new headlight switch...don't want to get one from salvage...the same problem could happen..

while you'er at may as well change the dimmer they onlt cost a few bucks and are easy to change just two 1/4 in headed sheet metal screws and one plug then go to the tech articeles and scope out the one for putting in headlight relays it's a good idea

Remember to clean all of your contact points. Pull the contacts out of the housings and check for heating and corrosion where the wire is crimped. Solder any new connections. Coat all of the contact surfaces with silicone dielectric compound b4 assy.
