I'm having problems with my electrical... my headlights blink after about 25 min.of driving...my right blinker works, but not very well...the left one does not....my tail lights do not get brighter when i hit the brakes...and my reverse lights do not come on when the car is in reverse...now i now i need to go through the whole system...but i'm wondering if any part of this could be the fuses....also is it true that a newer 302 has a heavier flywheel than on older 302?
TatooMatt,I had the same problem on my 72 F-250,the headlights would blink off and back on again whenever I went on a road trip but not in town on short runs.I don't remember having trouble with the other lights but I may not have noticed it as I was looking for the headlight problem.Well the headlights finally went off and would not come back on during a trip.I checked the complete wiring harness as well as I could until I found the problem. The harness for the headlights had worn thru where it goes past the battery box and after an hour of driving for some reason would move enough to short out.I taped it up until I got back home then fixed it right.I took a short length of hose and split it the long way then put it on thr repaired section of harness and taped it up,no more problem.Hope this helps.

Your blinking lights could also mean your headlight switch need to be replaced. If it just does it while on high beams, you might try replacing the high beam switch and see if that works but otherwise you will have to replace the headlight switch. They are about $12 at the local auto parts store and takes about 20 mins of your time. Be sure to check wiring like Nod said too.
