After you guys install a billet wheel on the stock journal bearing turbo do you have it balanced by a shop? Also looking at the drop in ready balanced KC turbine/compressor setup for the stock turbo but it's $450 or so.
Stay away from a modified 38r. At least that’s what I have been reading lately.

T4 would be fine but I think for your current goals it may be overkill.

I would say rebuild your turbo with the KC turbine and Riffraff 4x4 wheel (per Wes444’s testimonial). The parts are individually balanced so you don’t need to balance the set. This is the cheapest route for you to try and this will satisfy most folks needs.

You should also give KC a call to get their expert advice. A stage 1 may be a good fit if you plan to do injectors soon. But if not, then the rebuild or KC “stock plus” may be a better choice for now.

Ultimately the choice is yours. I’m just a random nut on a forum.
