Hello friends! After pondering several different swap Ideas I have decided to make life difficult and look into swapping a 6.2L into my old bronco. The (first) limiting factor is that I have an old school long travel setup that uses extended coil buckets that run all the way up to the hood. The trans tunnel seems to have enough room for the 6R80 but I'm concerned about being able to squeeze the 6.2 in between my coil towers (32" side to side with a slight bias toward the passenger side). Does anybody have any info on the engine measurements? Looking for info similar to the link below, maybe with another line for horizontal distance from engine mounts to sides of engine.
Thanks for the input! The forum was quiet so I got the measurements from a friends truck.
I got a smokin deal on a complete drivetrain from a 2011 Raptor. Also bought the ECU and both dash and engine harnesses. While the 6R80 is wider the t case is clocked downward a bit and only comes out about 8”. Thankfully in this year bronco, ford was still offsetting the drivetrains to the passenger side so the transfer case will have some room to breathe on the new setup.
Yo! What are the dimensions? Been looking for then for a while.
Yoooo! It's been a long time I had reset my password. Got the swap done with 4WD working and full dash/ Pats programmed with no defeat. She rips like a Bronco should.
Which vehicle are you swapping into? I can grab dimensions for you just want to know which ones you need. Engine is much wider and taller but everything else (dimension wise) was not too much trouble.

That must be some rig with the 6.2L ! And very reliable too!
If you are committed and willing to take on the wiring part then you're half way there! the depth is similar to the 5.8L but the width and height are significant changes, especially with that big old vacuum box (or whatever they call it) that connects the intake hose to your TB.
You'll run about 30" wide and 36" tall.
Front to back position is tricky if you keep the factory liquid cooled oil filter adapter because it wants to fight for space with your bronco steering box. there is a sweet spot but due to the height I had to notch out a chunk of the cowl at the top of the firewall.
If you're going to run the factory box I would look at the PS pump off of an F250. I think they run different pressure since the f150 has rack and pinion.
There are more "things" but this is a start. Of course all of the lines etc.. have to be custom. I did a few mods to my core support so I could run the f150 radiator and fans also and was totally worth it.
