Tailgate issues
Presently own a 2019 F250 king ranch. Had tailgate recall completed in Feb 2020. Just recently had issues start again with it opening on its own. The most recent was the weekend and this time while I was pulling my 5th wheel and it damaged the cargo door. In reading other threads I found several who had the recall done and continued to have the problem. Has anyone found out from a dealer why it continued and was able to get it fixed. Had mine at dealer 2 days now and they say they can’t get it to repeat. Which is expected since it doesn’t do it all the time. Also anyone had an issue with opening the tailgate with the button inside truck? Looking for some help

After reading about this problem in another thread on this forum, I realized that I was hitting the button for the tailgate release with my thumb when I was releasing the parking brake. Since I became aware of that and watch were I put my hand, I have never had the tailgate unintentionally release again. I agree that the switch is in a dumb location.
