Got to work this morning (35 min commute) and noticed that the tailgate was down and I lost some material that I cannot easily replace...
Frustrating!?
How could this happen??
UGH..
(PS, I did search for the topic as I had seen a thread a few weeks ago, but had not read it)
It's fairly easy to active the tailgate switch. I've don't several times while the FOB was in my pocket. Once while I was driving. It would be nice if the tailgate switch could not be activated while the truck is moving.

why is the thought of this reminding me of The Goonies? Slick shoes! lol
There have been other reports of this happening, and some have resorted to using a bungie or ratchet scrap to hold it closed when towning a fifth wheel trailer as that can lead to really bad results.
It would be nice if there was a indicator on the dash that the Tailgate was open - like when a door is ajar.
What he said... And I say that with or without a power tailgate... Once you put a cover on the bed, it is hard/impossible to tell if the tailgate is open or closed...
