2005 Excursion No Communication with Modules

2005 Excursion

Have had Instrument Cluster battery-saver-relay symptoms, twice in the last year, while using cruise control, brief power lost to IC, ABS light flash, lasted about half a second before returning to normal.

Last week the ABS light came on and stays on.

AutoEnginuity pulled no ABS codes, returns "No communication with module" for ABS and Instrument cluster.

Factory Wiring Diagram for 05 Excursion
CAN Bus #6 and #14 go only to the PCM (not to the IC).
SCP Bus #2 and #10 goes to the PCM, PATS, and Instrument Cluster.
ISO Bus #7 Trip Computer, 4wd module, Restraint control, ABS, Parking aid

Ohm meter on #6 and #14 reads 120 Ohms. Disconnect IC, no change, disconnect PCM, reads open.

Brand new batteries, fully charged on my charger.

AutoEnginuity will log in to all modules, except ABS and IC.

Have 2 ABS modules and an IC from the recycler, no change plugging any of them in. All three ABS modules spin up the motor at key on. Both ICs pass internal test modes (no codes other than low bat).

I've read that it should read 60 Ohms on #6 and #14(DLC) but don't see another module on the network (CAN) that would have it. I read that the IC is a network gatekeeper (to talk between ISO, SCP, CAN, and UBP) but I don't see how the CAN talks to the IC. It appears that the PCM is the gatekeeper.

I've run all the pinpoint tests for "no communication with" ABS, IC, and all of the networks. They all say replace the ABS module and the IC. Which is why I grabbed the used units (hoping for a quick/easy repair, doom on me).

Should the CAN be reading 60 Ohms? If so, where is the other terminating resistor?

Before I start going through the yards supply of modules, does anyone see something that I'm missing? I thought I had found it with the 120 Ohm reading, but was disappointed when there was no change (with the used IC) and looking at the wiring diagram I can't see where the other terminating resistor would be.

There are other network protocols also running on the network lines.
That is all I can recall right now. I will have to lok at my notes or
maybe one of the others will chime in with the info.

Here is one bit I was able to pull up with a quick search.

Downloaded FORScan.

Using the OBDLink XL.

Reads all modules and DTCs.

I ran AutoEnginuity to double check the problem and it still couldn't see the IC or ABS module.

Apparently, AutoEnginuity does not work with the 2005 Excursion bus-architecture.
