I also swapped the PCM from the 93 into the 95, and had to change one of the plugs on the transmission to match the 93 trans.

Unless I’m reading this wrong isn’t that the opposite of what you said here:

Yes, that is the opposite. At the time the owner had confused me on the years of each Bronco when we were first starting. I know for certain that the 5.8 is now in the 95, as I did run the vin when I found it earlier. Also, since I didn’t realize that the transmission is not in the vin I don’t have that code written down, but I assume by the picture you sent that as an automatic for Broncos the E40D was the only option anyways? If need be I can go back and look and get the code anyways

The Air Charge Temperature (ACT) sensor moved from the lower intake to the air filter box around 1994. You can leave the ACT in the donor lower intake (not connected) or remove it then plug the hole.
Why are you recommending the solenoid pack be changed? I would think swapping wires properly to the right connector would be fine and simpler than swapping the solenoid pack... I know there would be redundant diodes...

So, just to be clear, you have put a 93 5.8 & 93 E4 into 95 Bronco that had a 5.0/E4 & you hacked off the 95 trans plug to go in the 93 trans?

Nice when the whole choir sings from the same page in the same hymnal in the same church at the same time.

Not only should you have kept the mass air system that was in the ‘95 for wiring simplicity but it is a better computer system.

I’m sure Mark was only going by the flawed information that he was given.

Yes, 93 5.8 E40D and the 93 solenoid pack plug is in the 95 Bronco that had a 5.0 E40D. Sorry for the confusion there

Personal preference. Keep the pieces than can cause issues with mixing and matching with the components they were designed to work with. While redundant protection diodes is most likely not going to cause any issues, why add yet another variable into this swap that went off the rails.
Plus...the 1995 solenoid pack connector is a better design than the 1993

Alright so I’ve found the plug I need, and got the info I need other than one last thing because I’ve never purchased a computer before, do I just need to get one that matches the codes on the sticker of the one I took out? Thanks a lot again everyone, learned a lot from the great resource that is this website, helps someone like me out a lot!!

If the original 95 E4 hasn't been scrapped, it would do well to be checked out since it's a significant upgrade too. (and odds are, it's ok)

Yeah part of the deal was we get the 95 engine and trans so I was gonna have it gone through but after finding Suspect wiring issues I might just leave it. Not sure what I’m gonna do with the pair yet tho haha
