91 f150 nite =D

Okay, I just baught a 91 nite f150 with the 5.0 (302) and a 5 speed, dual tanks. Its the one without the pin stripeing. 4x2.
The guy i baught it from baught it brand new in 1991.

Anything i should really look into on this truck to get it running real good again?
Its got a new clutch, and new tires.
I gotta do some body work to the bottom body panels, but thats easy stuff. And i have 1 rust spot to fix.
The truck has been sitting for 3 years, so i gotta do a fluid change and stuff. Maybe clean the plugs, I dont have all the cash yet to do a tune up. It is fireing good right now though, so i'm not to concerned yet about that.

Just looking for anything special i should check or make sure is working right.

I just bought a 90 F150 SuperCab w/ 302 Automatic for $1400, I've been slowly but steadily replacing parts, ie. Plugs, Wires, Rotor, Cap, Upper & Lower radiator hose, Power steering return and pressure line, new tires and dual exhaust and it's finally all set, runs mint.....Just turned 100K, so I think me and you both found good deals, I just wish it was 4X4, of btw. I did a tranny flush as well.....

Yea, i think i'm going to do a tranny flush.

302 supposto sound tottaly awsome with duals on it. =D
Maybe i go dual flowmasters when i get the $.

Gonna have a mechanic inspect all the hozes for me, thats my main concern is dry rotted hozes. Though most i seen at the glance under the hood look good.

I"m getting the truck later on today. so i'll probably give it an oil change by hand. but muffler man does it for 15, which is cheeper then doing it by hand. so i duno, maybe i take it over there.

Better bust out this question while i remember.
The truck has a small rear main leak.
And i just read about the rubber seal leaking on the mazda transmission.
Not sure about the transmission in the truck either. Is that the one it has?

And, how much will getting this leak fixed cost? Just rough estimate.
I hate leaks, my tempo leaks like a mothertrucker.

I reciently found a steal of a deal. A 92 f-150 I-6 4x2 92000 for $1100. I did the basic tune-up wires, cap, rotor, oil change, upper and lower hoses flushed the rad. It looks good with a cap and i put new 31 inch tires. Its only problem is it has an issue when starting. You have to hit the gas pedal before it will start. I thought the fuel injected didnt need that. Any one have any ideas why it wont start.
Thanks for any ideas

Inline sixes are the shazle dazzle.
There one of the best engines you can get. I'm sure you wont ever have a problem with it.
