Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity of the auto headlights? My turn on/off constantly when driving around in the morning when the sun is up and even late afternoon. I'll be driving and there will be a shadow and the headlights turn on and my entire dash goes dark. It's annoying. The Tunrda I had before this had the ability to adjust this setting. I can't find it anywhere in my 250.
The same idiot that programmed the auto wipers did the program for the auto headlights. Mine are like a strobe show. So I disabled them.
I like the auto wipers and auto headlights on my Toyota. I will say the auto high beams are annoying on both the Toyota and Ford when driving in town or a busy highway. They're fine on country roads
Interesting...my auto high/low beams don't even start turning the hi beams on until it's pitch black. I usually turn them on manually for a little bit until it gets dark enough.
Edit: The full on/off of the auto headlight setting works well in my truck.
I have 15% all around except the front windshield, which is 70%. This wasn't a problem in my Tundra. And this morning while driving into work, the sun was up (7:30am PST) but with some clouds. The headlights stayed off during my entire drive in.
It can be done either in FORscan or with a visit to the dealer.
I made mine 15 seconds, so any ambient light changes have to stay constant for more than 15s before auto lights will switch either on or off. No strobing when passing under trees and crap.
I also wonder if you can adjust the speed at which they turn on and off? My 2020 turns on and off at about 30mph. I want them on when they need to be and off when they need to be, regardless of speed.
Since the dream truck is not here yet I have to ask can the headlights not be manually operated from the switch on the dash by turning the auto feature off?
Our 18 Escape has this feature and the work fine even if I don't really care for it. (it's HER car) but on that car the auto feature can be turned off at the switch.
