Brake booster

Can someone tell me the difference between a power brake booster and a vacuum brake booster?

There are two types of brake boosters used on trucks more so than cars. One is the vacuum booster that needs a vacuum source from either a manifold port on a gasoline engine or a vacuum pump on a diesel truck. The other brake booster is a hydro booster. This type of booster uses the power steering pump to provide the necessary action to provide power brakes.

The vacuum booster has a big vacuum booster unit between the master cylinder and the firewall. The hydro booster is relatively small and has a few power steering hydraulic hoses attached to it.
