Looking to get steel rims for winter. Existing tires are LT 275/65R18. Would like same diameter ( as not to screw up Speedo) but narrower for snow. Anyone know what size rims and tires match, if possible? I have seen factory trucks with steel rims might be willing to barter my existing rims and tires if anyone's interested. Thanks
Stock size on the 17” trucks is usually 265/70r17, that’s what mine has for the summer tires, I had a set of 18” winters from my navigator, and they are 275/65r18s, and the speedo is accurate with both sets of tires.
I got the truck used, 2014 F-150 says STX on the fender, but VIN number says XL. So not sure exactly what I got, but it has the big fat tires on fancy aluminum rims. Just as soon have steel rims with narrower tires any way. Just old school that way I guess. I remember when you could get a pack of valve stems for a few bucks, now everything has to be idiot proof. It's nice but too much money. I did see the new rims somewhere on line, guess I'll bite the bullet and pay up.

When I look up my 2011 F150 lariat it also shows XL as model type and I know my truck is a factory Lariat package vehicle so I do not put much into the XL designation, This may be the build starting point from the factory
Actually the STX is still considered a XL trim, kind of like putting 302a on a XLT or the luxury package on a FX2. 2003, 2004 Heritage was the last of the STX as an added on package to anything but a XL but as of the 2004 new body style it was considered a XL with the STX Package
