power steering pump

I'm having trouble removing the pully off of my older model power steering pump. there's a hex nut in the center of the hub but I'm not sure if it's left or right hand thread or where it separates from the pump shaft.

I just replaced mine. It's a newer style but when I threaded the stud into the shaft for the puller, it was right hand. Good luck.

Thanks, also I searched the previous posts on this subject and learned about the puller needed for removal/installation. FTE is a great resource!
