96 Crank no start

96 Crank no start

The tach dont move when it cranks. Replaced the CPS, still nothing. Any ideas will help it's my work truck.

Check fuse # 22 under the hood. If blown unplug the fuel heater and replace fuse. If that is not it what brand cps? May have to check wire to cps.

Found and replaced the fuse already. How do I check the connector?

Did you unplug the fuel heater? If not the fuse could be blown again. The fuel bowl heater shorts out, and it is on the same circuit as the IDM.

Is your Cam Sensor working?
The truck won't start if it is bad.
Get the Ford sensor. Off-market ones can be bad , right off the shelf.

#2 on the fuel heater and the fuse. But I also think you’re correct to check the wires to the cps. What brand cps did you buy? If it’s anything other than motorcraft get rid of it and get a Ford one
