Well, newish EEC didn’t fix it. Bought it used out of a local Ford enthusiast. Was in better condition than mine with no blown capacitors, now it’ll run. Harder to start, but won’t die under idle. I’ve lost all power when moving though. I replaced the map sensor and that didn’t help, seemed to make it worse.
It’s from a 4.9 5speed as well, I haven’t had much time since I put it in. The codes I remember we got off this was 332, 212 and 10. I’ll have more time tomorrow to check codes and try to narrow it down.
I was able to reroute the lines and get vacuum to it.
Your truck obviously has multiple issues. Knocking out known problems will whittle the list of issues that need resolved. The wrong fuel pressure will wreak havoc on the engine control system which in turn will damage the engine.
Update: was finally able to get my hands on a fuel pressure test kit. I’m sitting 47 with KOEO and 58 when idling. I have no change under load or rev. I’ve changed everything but the FPR on the fuel system. It starts to pop when it’s idled warm. No change to anything with either the front or rear pump. Any ideas?
