E pump which should I get?
Hi all new guy today, I have a 96 7.3 160/30 sticks, regulated return, fuel bowl delete, all the goods. I’ve been running a Aeromotive a1000 pump on it for about a yr and a half. It died on me a few months back, ordered a new one lasted 27 days and quit again. Talked to Aeromotive and they said to use a marine pump for it, I did, it lasted 25 days and quit!! Called them, had some words with them, they wouldn’t do anything about it.....so I need a pump again! But I feel I have a problem coming from the tank?! I haven’t looked but thinking my stock tube in the tank has broken off? Looking for opinions for a pump and issues in the tank pickup! Thank you for any help!

I would suggest a stock Bosch super duty electric pump. They are easy to find and have a warranty from any parts house.
If you are killing pumps I would check the wiring and make sure you don’t have a bad ground

I second checking your ground. I replaced two pumps before finding a bad ground.

I second the Bosch. Came from a knock off pump before putting the Bosch in and its night and day difference.

Welcome to FTE!!!
For reference purposes of brands to not use, in my other rig I used Walbro and Carter. They were good at one point, but had fallen off the recommendation list and both had short lives by the time I sold that truck (two years ago).
Agree with the others that Bosch has the best reputation at this time.
For the question about in-tank work, here is a good path to follow:

Perhaps a Moderator will make it a stickey in the Tech section.

A1000 is a race pump last I recall as is the Bosch 044. Why would either be needed with 160/30 injectors?
I use a Walbro on my kit. Seems fine at this point.

I used whatever part number riff raff has on their site for the bosch pump. Definitely isn't a race pump, though I wish it was

Walbro gsl392 has been great for me. No noise and supports my 250/200s like a boss.
maybe soon we will test on it again.

did you just buy the pump itself or the whole kit with wire harness and such?

Only the pump itself. I reused everything else from my E fuel set up.
