If it's like mine, the single wire is slip fit, and will occasionally fall off. You can reach under and feel for it. The connector on the wire is probably a 90 degree terminal. If it's too loose a fit, you can use a set of needle nose pliers to slightly crimp the connector.

Will do! There are 3 wires hanging from the dash by my ash tray. Assumed they were for dash speaker or something. I will get pictures tomorrow and share them.
1. Ck fuse.
2. Ck the single plug elec wire on the back of the cig lighter itself. If get its ground from the thread on outer collar, locking it in the dash. Ck that it is tight.
3. The lone wire from the back of it goes over to towards the L/H side of the glove box and goes in a Y for the glove box light. Or in a 2 wire black 3 hole constant 12V power source plug.
I checked the fuse, but it was dark. I'll check again in the day light. I believe the fuse is good though.
Actually, meter the fuse out (check for voltage on both sides) The glass style of fuses can have the fuse strip detach from the end cap and the fuse may look good but may actually be NFG.
