Kinda stinks. I bought my Retrosound radio in June and didn't get time to install it until last weekend. I discovered the sent me the wrong *****. I went back and checked the order and I indeed DID order the correct *****. They sent me the wrong *****. The ***** a just plastic pieces, can't be worth more than a couple bucks.
Here is my request to Retrosound.
-------------- I ordered the radio on June 23rd, 2020 with the 29-90 ***** but didn't get those. I wanted the ***** that had the white centers to match the OEM ***** in the 1966 Ford F100.
I just now got around to installing the radio and the ***** have a silver/chrome center vs the white shown on your web site.
Is it possible to exchange these for the Part Number: HUNT-M2-29-90 set?

Here is their reply:
Jon,
Sorry, but any refunds or exchanges have to be within 30 days of purchase.
Thanks,

Wayne,
I want to first thank you and Retro for the fantastic customer service. You guys screwed the order up and sent the wrong ***** then you refuse to exchange them for the ***** that were ordered. Way to go.
Now when I'm telling folks about the restoration of the truck and I get to the radio part I'll explain how for $2.00 in ***** and a bucket of shortsightedness you aren't my choice for radio replacements because of this poor customer service.
2 bucks in plastic might just cost you $400 + in sales, good thinking.

Over some Mickey Mouse set of ***** they pissed off a customer and made a negative representative for life.
Hey swamp rat that sucks but I think that **** you wanted is actually chrome in the center but looks white on their site. I ordered the same radio and I have the 29-90 ***** and mine are chrome on the inside. When I get around to it I plan on painting mine to match.
I would make a phone call not an email but I believe Vandy is correct I have seen a couple of these radios in slicks and they both had the chrome insert and I asked why they ordered the wrong ***** and was told by both owners that white was not an option
Wonder why they don't make them white? 6 years of this radio should make them in demand as white. That is why I have not ordered one. I don't want the ***** to be wrong when all the other ***** are white centers
I thought the same thing when I ordered it. They also market that radio to the Bronco and I believe those ***** came with the silver center. I ended up using a round vinyl stick on label over the silver center it looks good.
Yeah they look white on their website but if you go to Crutchfeld site that sells Retrosound radios their description of that **** is black with chrome center. And Crutchfeld sells it for 299.99
Nonetheless...you make a good point with them. The Retrosound employee, could have done his homework, and made mention that they are silver. But to say...sorry - no refunds is, really ijust lazy and incompetent service.
Sometimes this business of restoring trucks brings out the good, the bad and the ugly in people. I ordered a set of OEM fenders from a seller. He put them in flimsy boxes, and Greyhound crushed them. I held both liable for 1. inept packing. 2. Poor and inept shipping. Do you think either would offer to refund in part the purchase price of 1200.00 in fenders and shipping? Nope. The seller said - sorry but I got your money you got the fenders. Greyhound wouldn't reimburse because they are auto parts. This one STUNG.
