Equalizer hitch

Anyone out there have a new equalizer set up. I bought the little spacers that go where the bars mount to quiet the noise and keep loosing 1 on each tow. This the second set. I know they are installed correctly cause there is really only one way to do it. Any thoughts? Thanks

Are you installing them as shown in the link below? They need to be slid onto the back side of the L-bracket in an upright position and then flipped into place. I have had mine one for about 10K miles so far and still in place.

Sway Bracket Jacket Installation

Not sure how one could fall off while towing with the spring bar weight plus tension sitting on them?? Another perhaps dumb question....are you using them with the Equalizer 4 point hitch? I believe that is the only model they will work with.

Yes same hitch, I don't get it either. Slide down the L bracket and they lock right up. They are sending me another set again see what happens. Maybe I got a couple bad ones who knows.

I have used these quieting spacers on my 10,000# equalizer set up for several years and 1000-mi trips. Never had one fall off. I do believe it’s possible to install them upside down, so the bottom ridges do not seat properly on the L-bracket. Sorry you’ve had the issue - no question about it, they quiet the tow.

I've used them on both my 10k and 14k hitch without any issues. I am confused why they keep "popping" off for you? They make a world of difference with them on!

It's possible your L brackets are to high and to close to the hitch A frame on the front of your trailer and not having enough vertical metal to "mount" too. If it's close, drop down 1 notch on the bolt mounting holes and add an additional washer to the head of the hitch(they primarily do the same thing-either the washer to the head or brackets up one more hole) that's an idea?
